In 2021, eight up-and-coming improvisors in Toronto formed Little Miss Normal as a way to grow as an independent team with respected peers and friends, and as an excuse to hang out every week. And that’s it, that is what happened. They continue to have had done that.

Since then, they have performed across Canada, while producing their own monthly shows in Toronto, becoming known as one of the top teams there simply – is.

ANDY ASSAF | Montreal, QC

Andy Assaf is an actor, filmmaker, and sketch and improv comedian. As an actor, you might know him from The Recruit, Brilliant Minds, Working’ Moms, or maybe best from his role as the Cravensworth’s Monster on What We Do In The Shadows.

He wrote and performed 3 revues on The Second City Mainstage, and has been performing and teaching improv in Toronto and Montreal many years prior, being an alum of Bad Dog’s Featured Players and having produced extensively with The Montreal Improv Theatre.

Recently, he’s won the Just For Laughs Industry award at Montreal Sketchfest, “Dumbest of the Fest” at Denver Sketchfest, and Outstanding Comedy Short at Toronto Sketchfest. 

TYRA BANDA | Edmonton, AB

Tyra Banda is a Queer Black artist who got her first taste of theatre when she pursued a BA in drama at the University of Alberta, and was part of Rapid Fire Theatre, as well as multiple Edmonton Fringe Festival shows (Chuckle Ruckus, Big Stupid Improv Show, DieNasty). 

They are an alum of The Second City’s Touring Company, a member of Bad Dog’s Featured Players, and improv and comedy instructor at Humber College, Bad Dog Theatre, and Comedy Bar PRO.

Tyra has also performed in festivals all over the country like Vancouver International Improv Festival, Winnipeg Improv Festival, Ottawa Improv Festival and Improvaganza.

EDWARD CHOI | Toronto, ON

Edward Choi is an actor and improv and sketch comedian with a long list of performance experience, including appearances at Detroit Improv Festival, Vancouver Improv Festival, and JFL42.

He has trained (and taught) extensively in improvisation through institutions like Upright Citizens Brigade, Bad Dog Theatre, and The Second City, where he has also understudied their Touring Company.

Edward was the lead in Toronto Fringe’s award winning show David Lynch’s Seinfeld, and, this is not a bit, is a licensed Professional Engineer for the City of Toronto.

EMMA DECORTE | Toronto, ON


Emma Decorte is an improviser who has performed in hit Toronto shows like Hillary Duff Fan Club and Super Hot Date Night, and was a 2025 Finalist in the World’s Biggest Improv Tournament. She has performed at festivals like Big Scene in London, England, Vancouver Improv Festival, and Ottawa Improv Festival, and can frequently be seen at Toronto comedy shows like Beer Beer Comedy and Nice Time.

BITA JOUDAKI | Vancouver, BC

Bita Joudaki is a standup, improviser, and comedy writer. She currently writes on This Hour Has 22 Minutes, and has previously written on Children Ruin Everything and Peppa Pig Tales.

She has performed stand-up comedy across Canada and the U.S. at festivals like JFL Toronto, SF Sketchfest, Motor City Comedy Festival, Departure Festival and Grindstone Comedy Festival. She has recorded for JFL Live Sessions, and her live taping as part of CBC’s New Wave of Standup has filmed, was good, and is coming soon!

As an improviser, she was one of Bad Dog Theatre’s Featured Players, and has performed at fests like Vancouver Improv Festival, Combustion Festival, and Ottawa Improv Festival.

MIKE MILDON | Aurora, ON

Mike Mildon is an award winning filmmaker and comedian, and creator of the upcoming Disney+ comedy Knighted. He also created and starred in For Heaven’s Sake for Paramount+ and CBC, which was nominated for 3 Canadian Screen Awards. Mike also directed Season 1 of Ghosting for Peacock/CBC in 2024. In commercial spaces, he’s directed spots for some of the biggest brands in Canada (Tim Hortons, RBC, McDonald’s, etc).

His short films have attracted millions of views online and have been featured on top platforms, including Amazon Prime, Funny or Die, and Huffington Post.

And he is also a good improviser.

RHYS NAYLOR | Brandon, MB

Rhys Naylor is an actor, writer, and comedian. He is currently a performer and writer with The Second City’s Touring Company, is an alum of the Bad Dog Featured Players program, and was a 2025 finalist of the World’s Biggest Improv Tournament.

As an actor, he will appear in the upcoming seasons of Reacher, Boston Blue, and Vought Rising.

His short Monster Trucks (part of the LMN sketch pilot) was nominated for Outstanding Comedy Short at Toronto Sketchfest 2026.

GRIFFIN TOPLITSKY | Innisfil, ON

A true Renaissance man* (*of exclusively the Canadian media industry), Griffin Toplitsky is a writer, actor and comedian. He’s written TVO Kids shows, was the voice of Boston Pizza for a few years, hosted an RBC Financial podcast, and has acted in shows like One More Time and How to Die Alone.

He is a former Bad Dog Featured Player, and is currently understudying both the Mainstage and Touring Company at The Second City. His improv podcast Killed to Death has 500 episodes and multiple Canadian Comedy Award and Canadian Podcast Award nominations, including Outstanding Comedy Podcast and Outstanding Male Host.
